The next iteration of our Networking from Home series-connected professionals in the Media and Communications fields to connect with Columbia students. Representatives joined us from across the industry including media conglomerates, news agencies, an advertising technology firm, online magazine, and video services platform. Specifically, our guests joined from ABC News, AMC Networks, Jun Group, HBO, Vimeo, Bustle Digital Group and Associated Press. The most recent Networking from Home series event was all about the healthcare industry. We were lucky to have representatives from Google Health, Pfizer, Scripps Research Institute, Merck, Crossix Solutions, and an alum with decades of experience within healthcare consulting. With our panelists ranging from a leading researcher on a COVID-19 vaccine to a cardiologist to a robotics engineer at a pharmaceutical company, we learned firsthand that there are many different disciplines within the healthcare industry.Read more

The latest Networking from Home series even focused on all things finance. We hosted representatives from Vanguard, SMBC, Mastercard, Novantas, and Bank of NY Mellon for a 1-hour networking session on Zoom. Students were able to get introduced to all the representatives through learning quick facts about their organizations and preferences. Then there were three rounds of breakout rooms that lasted about 15 minutes in length, where students were able to ask any questions they had about the finance industry.Read more
