On Tuesday, October 23 rd , our center was packed to the brim with students and alumni here for the Student-Alumni of Color Career Panel and Networking Event co-sponsored by the Center for Career Education and the Black Alumni Council. Alumni shared candid insights about navigating the job search and workplace as a person of color, maximizing resources, building their network, and working with colleagues with diverse beliefs, ideas, and attitudes.Read more

On Monday, October 29 th , CCE, First-In-Family Programs, the Academic Success Program, and FLIP co-sponsored an event called Telling Your Story as a First Generation or Low-Income Student – Alumni Panel and Networking. It was an opportunity to hear from alumni about the ways in which their identity played a role in successfully navigating Columbia and the job search and how experiences inside and outside the classroom gave them skills that employers seek. Students also had the chance to network with alumni and peers in an intimate small group setting.Read more

We had hundreds of students participate in Columbia Experience Overseas , Science Technology Engineering Program , and the Columbia College Alumni-Sponsored Student Internship Program this past summer. From Amman to Hong Kong to here in New York City, students gained experience in internships and research, and had the chance to share more about their experiences.Read more

119 Employers Came to Columbia to Connect with Engineering Students On Friday, September 28th, 119 employers across engineering disciplines came to Lerner Hall for the Engineering Career Fair (ECF).
