Code2040 Fellows Program

The Code2040 Fellows Program is an intensive career accelerator for Black and Latinx college and graduate-level computer science students. For 10 weeks between June and August, you’ll intern at a top tech company and participate in a series of learning experiences designed to give you the tools and resources you need to navigate the tech industry and build an exciting, lasting career.

Credit Suisse Americas Diversity and inclusion programs

Credit Suisse has specific diversity programs that offer diverse candidates (for example, students who are female, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino) the opportunity to learn about the financial industry and specifically, what it’s like to work at Credit Suisse.

META University

Meta believes that anyone, anywhere can make a positive impact by developing products to bring the world closer together. Meta University is a paid ten-week training program designed to enable students from underrepresented communities to get to know Meta’s people, products, and services.

Meta University takes place from May to August and includes a few weeks of relevant technical training followed by hands-on project work. Throughout the duration of the program, participants are paired with a Meta team member who serves as a mentor.

Current first-year or second-year college students studying at a four-year university (or equivalent program for special cases) in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Candidates from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be asked to submit their resume, and both their high school and college transcripts (official or unofficial will suffice). Meta Eng students will also be asked to complete a 70-minute coding challenge.

Google Engineering Practicum

The Google STEP (Student in Training Engineering Program) internship is a 12-week internship for first and second-year undergraduate students with a passion for computer science. The program provides developmental opportunities to students from groups historically underrepresented in tech through technical training and professional development. 

Application: Typically open in September and close in November


  • First or second-year undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field in North America.
  • Some programming experience and CS coursework may be required.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Early advantage Programs

JP Morgan offers a variety of Early Insight (Pre-Internship) programs or events to help students explore what it is like to work at a top financial firm. The program experience has a focus on professional development as you may work on a presentation skills during an interactive workshop and have the opportunity to network with business leaders. Program length varies and these programs are designed for early-year undergraduate students in all majors.

McKinsey sophomore Business Analyst Program

McKinsey’s Sophomore Business Analyst Program is designed for second-year students to gain experience with consulting. Students will work in one of Mckinsey’s offices for 10 weeks to help serve clients, build new skills and partcipate in social activities. Much of the focus is on learning and personal development, successful interns may receive an offer for the following summer.

Qualifications: Second Year undergraduates who self-identify as members of groups that have historically been underrepresented in the consulting industry including Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, and/or part of Indigenous groups in North America

Microsoft Explore

Explore Microsoft is a 12-week summer internship program specifically designed for first and second-year college students. The program is rotational and allows you to gain experience in our different software engineering roles. It’s also designed to give you hands-on experience with various tool and programming languages in the field of software development, and encourage you to pursue degrees in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical disciplines. Your on-the-job learning will be augmented with mentoring, community building and networking opportunities.

Application: Typically posted in August; rolling deadline


  • First- or second-year with a demonstrated interest in majoring in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or related technical major
  • Must have completed an Introduction to Computer Science course (or equivalent class) as well as one semester of calculus (or equivalent) by the start of the program
  • Finalists will be selected based on eligibility and demonstrated interest in the software industry
  • Especially encourage applications from groups currently underrepresented in engineering, including women, Native-Americans, African-Americans, Hispanics, Veterans and students with disabilities

Morgan Stanley Freshman Enhancement Program

The Freshman Enhancement Program provides Black, Hispanic, Native American and LGBT+ students the opportunity to experience Morgan Stanley culture first-hand. Participating divisions include Wealth Management, Global Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Sales & Trading and Research. Students in all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Selected candidates participate in a paid program at the firm’s offices in New York City before June and based on participant availability (exact timing of the program to be determined). The program includes valuable training, networking opportunities and exposure to Morgan Stanley professionals across businesses.
