Biotronik/Micro Systems has decided that instead of hosting their webinar this evening, they would prefer to speak to interested students one-on-one. Therefore the webinar this evening has been cancelled. If you are still interested in speaking with Biotronik/Micro Systems, please send your resume and your contact information by Monday, 3/27 at 9:00am to Kate Rockey-Harris, Associate Director of Employer and Alumni Relations (kar2156@columbia.edu). Biotronik, Inc. is a privately held German-based Biomedical Engineering Firm that specializes in designing and creating implantable medical devices for cardio-rhythm management. Our US based headquarters are in Portland, Oregon, where we have business operations (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Regulatory & Compliance, Clinical Studies, and more) under the name Biotronik (www.biotronik.com). At the same site we have the engineering side of the business, both Research & Development as well as Operations & Production, under the name Micro Systems Engineering, Inc. (www.mst.com/msei). Here we design, develop, and produce not only the micro chips that go into the devices, but the machines that make them as well. Our R&D team focuses on next generations of products as well as future technology for advanced therapies. We are looking for both interns and full time employees, across business departments and engineering disciplines. From an engineering perspective we mainly look for Electrical, Computer Science/Software, Mechanical, Chemical and Biomedical Engineers. Our internship program is robust and academic in nature, where the interns work on projects that actually contribute to the organization (for example, designing components for the next iteration of a product). Come learn more about what we have to offer and see if we’d make a good match.
