Undergraduate students who identify as FLI (First Generation, Low-Income) are invited to attend an exclusive Career Fair Preview, ahead of the 2023 Engineering & Tech Career Fair! This will include:

  • Early access to the career fair
  • Practicing your introduction with a small group of peers

  • Opportunities to connect with employers interested in hiring FLI students

  • Tips for navigating the fair and approaching employer tables

  • Learning how to highlight skills gained through life and work experiences

  • Sample questions to ask prospective employers

Space is limited, so registration is required. This opportunity is for students in First in Family (FIF), Academic Success Programs (ASP), the Program for Academic Leadership and Service (PALS), and the Jack Kent Cooke Scholars Program.

The recommended dress code for the Career Fair is business or business casual attire. Suits are available to reserve in advance from CCE’s Clothing Closet.

Bringing printed copies of your resume is encouraged. We invite you to schedule an appointment with a career counselor or come by during daily Quick Questions Hours (Monday — Friday, 2:00 — 4:00 p.m.) for support with your materials.

Please bring your CUID. You will need your CUID to gain access to this event. If you require handicapped accessibility, please contact us at cce-scheduling@columbia.edu prior to your workshop/career counseling appointment time, so we can assist.
