The Office of Government & Community Affairs invites you to an information session on congressional and other internship opportunities in Washington D.C in Lerner Hall’s Broadway Room on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. The session will include an overview of available resources as well as timelines for application. The event will also serve as an opportunity to meet and network with past participants and Columbia’s government relations staff. Refreshments will be served. An internship in a congressional office or other government organization provides an excellent opportunity for you to gain valuable knowledge and exposure to the many facets of government, from constituent relations to policy-making, in the nation’s capital. In the past, Columbia students have worked for senators and representatives from both parties, both in D.C. and at local offices. Others have found summer positions with various federal departments and agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and think tanks. Please RSVP via the University Events Calendar with your CUID.
