Clothing Closet

Access:

The Center for Career Education (CCE) seeks to support students through all aspects of internship and job preparation. In preparation for an interview, career fair or networking event, we encourage students to set a positive first impression through their attire. Through a generous donation from one of our recruiting partners, Macy's and Bloomingdales, the Center for Career Education offers the Clothing Closet to ensure students are able to dress professionally for their career preparation.

This program allows current Columbia University students who are served by CCE to borrow suits and accessories for the purpose of attending an interview, career fair, or professional networking event. The Clothing Closet features 14 Calvin Klein suits, about one each in sizes 2 - 14 for women and one each in sizes 38 - 46 for men. Gentlemen may borrow from a selection of ties, and ladies may choose from several necklaces.

To request a suit, students must first read and complete a policy agreement form and then wait to receive a confirmation e-mail. When preparing for an interview or event, please keep in mind that submitting a Clothing Closet request does not guarantee a reservation.   Before you check-out a suit, be sure to familiarize yourself with the CCE policies regarding return dates, damages, and trying on your suit, which can be viewed on the FAQ page.
