The New-York Historical Society proudly offers full- and part-time internships for students at the college and graduate levels in both our museum and library divisions. Through research, hands-on work, and interactions with museum staff and experts in the field, students gain valuable experience and knowledge of both history and museum work. Interns experience unparalleled career development and cultivate fruitful professional relationships, which often lead to work in the areas of nonprofit, art, history, research, and a slew of other fields. The Summer Internship Program runs for eight weeks, and features weekly lectures from various New-York Historical Society employees, and outings to other cultural institutions in the New York area.
