What to Expect at an industry showcase
Each showcase features employers from a given industry, all looking to meet Columbia students. Whether you’re starting to explore or have identified specific opportunities of interest, these events are a great way to engage with employers and learn about current or future opportunities at their organization.
All industry showcases will provide you the opportunity to network with employers in one-on-one or small-group settings. Some of our showcases, like Policy and Politics or Healthcare, include an educational panel of employers sharing their experience in the industry, their career paths, and their advice to students.
How to Prepare for an Industry Showcase
When attending a recruiting event, your preparedness can help you stand out to employers. To prepare, we recommend reading about the participating employers, conducting research into your organizations of interest, and preparing a tailored introduction, questions, and industry-specific version of your resume.
Our more in-depth tips on how to prepare, navigate, and follow up after a networking event can help you make the most of an industry showcase.
