Late Returns or Damaged Suits

The Clothing Closet Suits are the property of Columbia University; if a suit or clothing is lost or damaged, the borrower will be charged a replacement fee as well as be subject to Dean’s disciplinary procedures. Suits that are returned stained and/or odorous are also subject to a cleaning fee. Please note the following replacement fees for each item:

  • Suit: $250
  • Tie: $40

When picking up your suit, you will initial and agree to the following statement:
I agree to follow the policies stated above. I understand the failure to do so will result in a possible fine and/or Dean’s discipline. I agree to treat the clothing I borrow carefully and acknowledge that not doing so will restrict my ability to borrow a suit in the future.
