CCE serves undergraduate students and alumni in Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of General Studies, and collaborates with Career Centers in the other schools at Columbia University and its affiliated institutions

Paid Student Roles
Peer Ambassador (2026-2027)
This position is for full-time undergraduate students at Columbia College, Columbia Engineering, and the School of General Studies. As a Peer Ambassador, you will play a pivotal role in supporting your fellow students and promoting CCE services while gaining valuable professional experience and skills.
Among other responsibilities, the Peer Ambassador will serve as a peer resource to fellow students; conduct interviews with students, employers, and alumni; promote and participate in CCE events; collaborate with the CCE Communications team to create social media content and blog posts; and present information to students and groups about CCE’s resources and services. Full-Time Roles
Assistant Director, Data Insights & Digital Engagement
Reporting to the Executive Director of Administration & Planning, this role serves as a strategic bridge between data analytics, technical infrastructure, and creative communications. This role is responsible for the integrity and analysis of student outcome data — specifically, the First Destination Survey (Beyond Columbia Survey) — and trains CCE staff in their utilization of the Center’s core technological systems. The incumbent will also support digital engagement and the production of video content for various CCE marketing channels and help to translate complex data into compelling digital narratives. Assistant Director, Experiential Education
Working closely with the Experiential Education team, this role develops internship programs for students from the three schools served by CCE, oversees the implementation of these programs, and takes primary responsibility for educating and informing students about program benefits. This responsibility includes offering information sessions to advertise and publicize opportunities, organizing and facilitating pre-program and other professional development events, and encouraging all student participants to utilize CCE resources. The incumbent will also offer career counseling and practice interviews to all program participants. Learn more and apply.
Assistant Director, Undergraduate Career Development
This position delivers individual and group career counseling to undergraduate students and recent alumni. Responsibilities include tracking, assessing, and reporting on counseling outcomes; researching, developing, and implementing career education programming to address student needs; and serving as a team member or lead on CCE-wide initiatives.
The incumbent will also develop and maintain proactive relationships with key clients including undergraduate students, undergraduate student leaders, alumni, administrators, faculty, and employers and serve as CCE’s representative on cross-campus teams serving specific populations of undergraduates.
