Whether you have ten to fifteen years of work experience or just a few, the Center for Career Education can assist you with creating a plan of action that is targeted to your unique needs and career goals. Many of you may be seeking a career change and are also dealing with the competing demands of school, work and family. The Center will partner with you through every step of your career exploration, providing services and resources to help you make informed decisions every step of the way.
We encourage you to actively participate in our walk-in hours, panels, site visits, workshops and counseling appointments to jumpstart and prioritize your career plan. The Center also facilitates connections between students, alumni and organizations to help you explore and expand your network. Visit us early and often to maximize your opportunity to reenter the workforce or transition with a fresh perspective.

The unique experiences that you bring to Columbia can be a tremendous asset to you with regard to your career path. Networking and Connecting with Alumni
When it comes to careers, nothing compares to speaking with people who work in the profession. Networking and informational interviewing enable you to learn more about an industry and build relationships that provide a support system as you investigate and develop a career in that industry.
