What is the Clothing Closet?
Macys/Bloomingdales has generously donated a collection of business suits and accessories to the Center for Career Education. Current students can now borrow a suit from this Clothing Closet for the purpose of attending a career fair, networking event, or an interview. We carry 14 Calvin Klein suits, about one each in manufacturer sizes W2 - W14 and one each in M38 - M46. Ties and necklaces are also available to accessorize your outfit. Students are responsible for providing their own shirts and shoes.

How do I reserve a suit?

  1. Read and Complete the Policy Agreement Form
Students will be required to read and submit a policy agreement form. Please review the agreement carefully. Clothing Closet suits are university property and students will be responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen items. Students who do not follow Clothing Closet policies will be subject to dean's discipline. It is very important that students return suits in a timely manner. Failure to return a suit in wearable condition by the due date means that the student next in line will be left without a suit for his or her interview.
  2. Submit a Suit Request Form to See if Your Size is Available
After you have completed the policy agreement form, you will automatically be taken to the Suit Request form. Select your suit size and indicate what week you will need to borrow it. The Center for Career Education will then check to see if your desired suit is available and inform you of the status via email.  Requests must be submitted at least two business days prior to the week you would like to reserve the suit.
  3. Reserve your Suit.
If you receive an email confirming that your suit is available and has been reserved, you may come to pick it up on Monday between 1PM and 4PM. If your suit is not available, we suggest that you go back to the request form and try selecting another date or another suit size. Your confirmation email will also indicate the date your suit must be returned.
  4. Come to the Center for Career Education to Pick Up Your Suit
The Center for Career Education is located in East Campus, Lower Level. Please see our website for hours and directions. Suit pick-ups are on Mondays, 1PM - 4PM. Please inspect the suit prior to leaving to make sure that it is not damaged when you receive it. When you return the suit, it will be inspected for stains and tears. If there are stains and tears where there were none before, you will be responsible for the damage.
  5. Return Your Suit on or Before the Due Date
The date that your suit must be returned will be included in the email you received confirming your reservation. Suits must be returned by 4PM on Friday unless the office is closed. Please note that the Center for Career Education is not open on weekends, holidays, or during CCE-sponsored career fairs. If your suit is due on a day when the Center for Career Education is closed, you are expected to return it by noon on next day we are open. Please call the front desk at (212) 854-5609 if you have any questions.
