You can’t spell career suCCEss without CCE
May 05, 2008
Dear Members of the Columbia Community,
Congratulations on the completion of another successful academic
year. I hope you achieved all your academic and non-academic goals and
are excited about your next steps. As you can see we have chosen
success as the theme for this final supplement of the academic year.
Within these pages you will find inspiring stories from students who
have used the resources at CCE to achieve their career goals. CCE’s new
partnership with the University’s Arts Initiative is highlighted with commentary from some of the students participating in the inaugural Columbia Arts Experience
program. Read more about their experiences at Funny Garbage, Ballet
Hispanico and Harlem Stage. Such has been the success of this program
that CCE aims to increase the number of internships and student
participants next spring.
During the summer months, whether you have just graduated or will be returning to campus in September, all the resources of CCE are still available for your use. Our new web site features a wealth of career information and resources such as the entire Vault® and Wet Feet® online career libraries, tipsheets, industry links and CCE’s own job and internship database. Significantly the counseling staff are also available to both students and alumni from the seven schools served by CCE. So for those who are still weighing options, our individualized, impartial guidance is still available.
Finally, congratulations to the Class of 2008!!! Please share your success stories with us by completing CCE’s annual Survey of Graduating Students. It will take just 3 minutes of your time, you will be providing CCE with valuable data to improve our programs and services and…you could win an iPhone, iPod, digital camera or other prizes!!
Wishing you continued success,
Kavita Sharma
