Please briefly describe your career path:

I was a labor/employment lawyer for five years including a year as a clerk. I switched careers and I’m now an executive recruiter.

How have you utilized networking in your career and job search?

My entire job is about networking. One thing I’ve learned is that networking is probably the most important thing in finding the right job and career. My first job at Spencer Stuart came through a Columbia connection. Use your Columbia networks!

How would you advise students/graduates to prepare for interviews?

Do your homework and prepare! Know what is happening in the market. Research the company, the industry, and the interviewer. Also ask others who have been through the process.
