
Columbia Arts Experience
Program Description
The Columbia Arts Experience (CAE) internship program is sponsored by Columbia’s Center for Career Education (CCE) in partnership with the Arts Initiative at Columbia University (CUARTS.) Launched in the 2007-2008 academic year, CAE provides selected students with a New York-based internship in the arts. Program participants participate in special events and educational programming designed to help students explore career opportunities in the arts.
Internships are available in a variety of sectors including:
- Arts Administration
- Architecture
- Dance
- Music
- New Media
- Film/Television
- Theatre
- Writing/Media/Publishing
Program Features
- Ten-week internship for ten to twenty hours per week during the Spring semester.
- Pre-professional training prior to the internship to help ensure a successful internship experience
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students at Columbia College, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science or School of General Studies, in their sophomore, junior, or senior year.
How to Apply
All CAE 2009 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2008 semester. However, applicants are asked to submit one application for the CAE program and indicate in your cover letter up to three internships for which you wish you be considered, in preferential order. All complete applications must include:
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- Transcript (can be unofficial)
Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by November 14, 2008.
