Learn about internships held by your fellow Columbia students!

September 09, 2009

To better assist students with their internship searches, CCE has launched a new Internship Survey Database, a searchable system with data collected from the Internship Feedback Survey that is sent out at the beginning of the fall semester to Columbia undergraduates and graduate students at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, the School of the Arts, and the School of Continuing Education. The purpose of the database is to provide Columbia undergraduates with an additional resource for their internship searches and career exploration and to allow for peer-to-peer information sharing about specific internships and internship search strategies, such as the kind of projects interns were involved with and how students found the internships. Moreover, the database highlights the breadth and diversity of internship opportunities available to undergraduates. Currently, the database contains information collected from the 2008 survey, to which nearly 1,000 undergraduate students responded (at the time the survey was sent only to undergraduates).

The Internship Survey Database is accessible through the CCE website and only to currently enrolled Columbia undergraduates and graduate students from the graduate schools listed above.  Just log in with your UNI and password.  In addition, the survey can also be accessed through the CCE website and can be filled out at any time during the year, so we encourage you to submit surveys for any internships pursued during the academic year as well or any others you have held in the past.
