Eligibility

You must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Columbia College, Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, or School of General Studies or a graduate student at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, School of Architecture, Preservation and Planning, the School of the Arts or the School of Continuing Education and be able to commit to working 10-20 hours per week for ten or more weeks in a virtual internship.

Students are only eligible to be part of the VIP program one time throughout their time at Columbia University.  Therefore, students are not eligible to apply for any VIP positions (even with a different VIP employer) once a VIP internship has been completed.

Students who are studying abroad are encouraged to apply. Interviews will be conducted over the phone or Skype. Please indicate that you are studying abroad in your cover letter.

**Please note, by submitting an application, you authorize the Center for Career Education to conduct academic, disciplinary and financial aid checks to confirm program eligibility and inform funding decisions. Certain University policy violations may disqualify you from consideration for the Virtual Internship Program.
