CEO Application Process
Eligibility
- Students must be attending Columbia College, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science or the School of General Studies.
- Applicants must be current sophomores or juniors.
- Applicants must be able to commit to the full program.
- Students must have a desire to engage in new cultural experiences and be willing to expand their horizons.
STUDENTS WHO ARE STUDYING ABROAD ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. Interviews will be conducted over the phone. If you have a conflict with the end date of your study abroad program and the start date of an internship, please make us aware of this in your application. You will not be penalized for a conflict but it helps the Center for Career Education to work with you if we are aware of your availability in advance.
How to apply
All CEO 2010 internships will be posted in LionSHARE in the On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) section during the Fall 2009 semester on a rolling basis after September 29. In order to get access to OCR, you must complete the Policies and Procedures form. Please note that it takes up to 48 hours to receive access and that you must have a resume uploaded into the system to in order to be able to apply to a position (i.e., see the "Apply now" link).
Once you have OCR access and are logged into LionSHARE, go to the On-Campus Recruiting section and click on "Apply for schedules I qualify for" and search "CEO" in the "Job Title" box to view positions. You may apply to up to two (2) positions of interest in each city (i.e. two in London and two in Hong Kong).
There are five (5) required components to the application:
- CEO Application Form: (this form only needs to be submitted once, but you must submit this form even if you are applying to only one position).
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- Transcript (can be unofficial)
- Financial Support Application
Please Note: Items 2 through 5 must be submitted through LionSHARE for each position of interest. Additional materials may be required for a particular position. Please read the listing carefully and include all documents that are requested.
Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, January 10, 2010. You will be notified via email if you are selected for a first-round interview. First-round interviews will take place January 20 - February 9, 2010 at the Center for Career Education.
