Career Fairs and Special Events

Each year, the Center for Career Education hosts several career fairs, networking events and conferences in a variety of industries. These events provide students with the opportunity to explore different fields of interest and make connections with alumni and employers. Super Saturday

September 2009
Super Saturday provides students with the preparation skills and alumni networking opportunities to maximize their success in the On Campus Recruiting Program at the Center. Super Saturday is targeted towards students and young alumni interested in careers in finance and consulting.

Fall Career Fair

The Fall Career Fair allows students and alumni the opportunity to meet with employers and explore career options. The Fall Career Fair covers a wide variety of industries including consulting, education, finance, retail and more.

Engineering Career Fair Networking Reception

October 22, 2009
The Engineering Career Fair Networking Reception is an opportunity for students and alumni to network with employers attending the Engineering Consortium Career Fair the following day as well as SEAS Faculty members.

The Engineering Consortium Career Fair features unique engineering and information technology organizations from across the country.


International Organizations Day

November 13, 2009
This conference-style event takes advantage of Columbia's NYC location and the burgeoning interest in multilateral governance and development organization careers.

Washington D.C. Virtual Career Fair

Spring, 2010

The Washington D.C. Virtual Career Fair is a joint venture between Columbia University and the London School of Economics intended to connect students from these institutions with top Washington D.C. area firms and organizations. The virtual career fair will allow participating organizations to post job opportunities, internships and meet students and alumni from both schools online. Students will be able to learn about firms, network with employers, and apply directly to open positions all through the web based platform.


Not-for-Profit and Public Service Career Fair

The Not-for Profit and Public Service career fair is an opportunity for students and alumni to meet with employers and explore careers in the Not-for-Profit sector. This career fair covers industries such as the arts, education, engineering, foundations, government, healthcare, humanitarian efforts, healthcare, international development and law.

 

Media Networking Night

Media Networking Night allows the opportunity for Columbia students to connect with a wide variety of alumni and professionals who can speak candidly about their own work experience in the media industry. Media Networking night includes industries as diverse as film, entertainment, visual arts, television, radio, communications, advertising, marketing, public relations, books, magazines, newspapers and more.
