On-Campus Recruiting
Recruiting Reservations for the 2009-2010 Season
We will begin accepting requests for employer information sessions and on-campus interview schedules NO EARLIER than May 11. We want to make this process easy for you, so requests will not be prioritized by time stamp but by date received. Unfortunately, any requests received prior to May 11 will not be accepted and should be resubmitted. Please check our 2009-2010 recruiting calendar for additional information and blackout dates.
This year we will be capturing your on-campus recruiting and employer information session requests via our on-line recruiting system, LionSHARE. Beginning May 11, please visit LionSHARE to request your preferred on-campus recruiting and information session dates for the fall and spring semesters.
1. Log on to the system with your username and password
2. Hover over "My On-Campus Interview Schedules"
3. Click on "New Schedule Request"
4. Complete your Interview Request Preferences
You will need to submit different requests for the fall and spring semesters.
Please review all Columbia University Center for Career Education policies and procedures including the policy on offers of employment before submitting your recruiting requests for the 2009-2010 recruiting season.
We will do our best to accommodate your requests. It may be the case that we receive many requests for the same date and will attempt to match everyone to their desired dates as closely as possible. Please note that we have, in the past, received four or five times the demand than what we can accommodate for the first two weeks of recruitment. It is not advisable to request consecutive dates as we may not be able to accommodate you. It is also unlikely we will be able to host second round interviews on-site. We appreciate your patience as we try to meet the needs of all employers to the best of our ability. Please remember that students will have until November to reply back to any offers as stated by our policies.
Please note, if you have any outstanding invoices from the previous recruiting season, you will not be able to request dates until those invoices have been paid.
Employer Information Sessions
The University has completed the renovations Faculty House (our catering facility) and we will again be hosting employer information sessions here beginning in September. Information sessions can take place Monday through Friday September 8 to December 4 during the fall semester and January 19 through March 26 in the spring semester. (please note: there are blackout dates mentioned on the recruiting calendar.) The times available for presentations Monday through Thursday are either 5:00pm to 6:30pm or 7:00pm to 8:30pm. If you wish to come to campus during business hours we recommend Fridays midday, when there are the fewest classes.
Fall On-Campus Interviews
Fall interviews are for full-time hiring only. Interviews can take place Monday through Friday September 29 through December 4. If you are coordinating for multiple divisions within your organization, we ask that you please coordinate with all other representatives so that there is not a duplication of requests. If it is possible, we will schedule your divisions on the same date. We have 13 rooms and are open for interviews from 9:00am to 5:00pm. If applicable- when requesting your rooms please indicate which division will be using the room.
Spring On-Campus Interviews
Both summer internship and full-time recruitment interviews are held in the spring. Interviews can take place Monday through Friday, January 19 through March 26.
Video Conference Interviews
Please review the policies and place the reservation request through your LionSHARE account.
