Each year, The Center for Career Education hosts a number of events, including the Fall Career Fair, Career Week, Networking Receptions, Not-for-Profit Career Fair, and Electronic Career Fairs. Check the Events Calendar for the most up-to-date information on Career Fairs.

Our Career Fairs are designed for students and alumni to gather information about a wide variety of organizations. Networking Receptions enable students and alumni to speak directly with alumni and employers about their careers and organizations.

The Fall Career Fair is Columbia University's general career fair that attracts over 130 employers each year. The participating companies come from a wide range of industries including media, consulting, advertising, government, consumer packaged goods, retail, marketing, and financial services. This fair is held at the end of September each year and attracts over 1300 students. This is an ideal opportunity for an employer to begin your company's branding efforts here at Columbia University.

The Engineering Consortium Career Fair is sponsored by both the Center for Career Education and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Over 1800 students from Columbia University and 30 partner schools attended this fair in 2007. This is a career fair that focuses exclusively on careers in engineering and applied sciences. Over 150 employers attend each year ranging in industries from government agencies to biotechnical laboratories to financial institutions to software companies. The positions that are available are full-time positions for those with advanced degrees and internships for undergraduates. This fair is typically held at the end of October

Not for Profit Career Fair

The Not-For-Profit Career Fair focuses exclusively on careers in the not-for-profit and public service sectors. Columbia University welcomes students and alumni from over 25 consortium schools and hosts over 100 employers each year. The industries represented come from organizations, foundations, and agencies that focus on the environment, human rights, education, arts, health-care, and more. This event attracts over 1000 students and is held in the Spring each year.

Media Networking Night

Media Networking night includes industries as diverse as film, television, radio, communications, advertising, marketing, public relations, books, magazines, newspapers and more.

Green Careers Night

The Center for Career Education at Columbia University is thrilled to be hosting a new initiative for the spring of 2008, Green Career Night. This event will be an evening of networking and information sharing on the subject of Green Careers. We are inviting organizations in the Environmental and Sustainable Development Industries to connect with students through this educational event to share information about their organization and about the industry.
